over the last couple of years will realize that Rich has, on more than occasion, indicated his rationale for his pithy (that's not a lisp) observations--citing, where pertinent, such factors as production costs, the ability--or inability--to gain retail shelf space, and the incompatibility of DVD-A with the vast installed base of CD players. The recent move on the part of the consortium to consider incorporating a CD layer on DVD-A would appear to validate that last consideration...with an exclamation point.I don't think Rich feels at all threatened--or that SACD is necessarily his "god." He's repeatedly stated his position from the perspective of what appears to make marketing sense. You can disagree with his tone and his conclusions, if you wish, but you may want to consider how your posts ring as well.
