RE: Ever had a chance to listen to the DNA Stellaris?

No, I have never listened to a Stellaris. I had not ever listened to a Stratus before I purchased mine. I was looking for a serious tube headphone amp and purchased by reputation alone. Over the years, the Stratus has been continuously upgraded. I think my 2018 is version 3.
You are a serious headphone user to wait 12 months for your amp. The young people usually don't go for DNA due to the wait, not the $3000 cost.
