That should work. Personally, I'm partial to the Roku boxes and sticks. The apps and the variety of apps for Roku seem to be more plentiful and more up to date than some other products.
Edit: You might want to check the specs on the SP3 to know if it will just pass through 4K video. NetFlix is doing more in 4K, but then, NetFlix may be able to check the device and downgrade on their end.
