Yeah, I'm not too fond of it either.

That song, along with the one the OP alluded to, were rehearsed and played to the point of nausea when I played bari-sax in the high school stage band. Those were mainstays of our repertoire for the three years I was in the band. I just cannot listen to "The Stars Fell On Alabama" anymore for the same reason.
