it would seem that a solid state file buffer(i.e. the file loaded into a local SSD) with hardware re-clocking would eliminate those sources of error?
I use Logitech Media Server (LMS) for both music and video hosted on a Synology NAS with 8 GB of memory - 6 GB of which is used as a buffer. It takes seconds for an entire album or playlist to get buffered error-free into even faster DD3 memory. An ultraRendu endpoint reclocks the data stream from its USB input.
