Well, it's not impossible, but I did see some questionable issues in late June. That problem didn't appear to get into the database.
To get into the database, you literally need to be on one of the server as access is granted only to specific IPs. I'm not a total expert, but it's possible some sort of sql injection could be possible. OTOH, I see those attempts all the time and none work and we ban those IPs belonging to those users, typically from Russia or China.
I'd like to see the actually email that you got with the full headers. Otherwise, I'm at a loss. If someone got the whole db, I'd expect that I'd get some of those emails and I haven't seen any and I checked my spam folder too and found nothing.
In any case, it's best to change passwords and I'll do doing so as well as changing all the other server passwords.
