1) there's plenty of good new music, albeit available via nontraditional channels.
2) Folks heard music for free for decades (nigh on a century) via radio prior to "Napster".
3) Some of those same folks stole it, too, using tape recorders of various kinds.
The "soul" of music is doing just fine, thank you.
It is baked into the human condition.
