I've owned a few universal players (Sony, Denon, M.rantz) and all of them developed problem. reading m.lti-layer discs within a couple of year's tim.. There are fixes for these problem. but eventually they all start screwing up again.I'm not alone in this either. Read about universal player m.lfunction problem. in the Hi-Rez forum archives.
I've never owned an Oppo universal player, though.
