RE: I'm selling my gear...going integrated

Audio Note UK Meishu Phono Tonmeister Integrated. It will easily drive Zu Audio - great phono section. I am looking at going with the power amplifier version of the Tonmeister (called the P3 as I already have a preamp) - I never much liked 300B amplifiers nor the prior version but the new Tonmeister is IMO on another level.

It's totally a worthless suggestion for you because the Meishu Tonmeister is massive and kind of big bertha ugly and probably larger than two Luxman amps on top of each other. And you have to deal with tubes and you made no mention of tubes in your video.

I liked the class A Luxman and Accuphase amps all the times I have auditioned them - I see them as safe buys as well in that they're easy to sell.

This is no small consideration either - I LOVED the Pureaudio One integrated class A amplifier I reviewed not long back - but it's such a small name brand - the designer passed away and so they are out of business - how would someone get parts or have it repaired? I think it sounds better than the Luxman and Accuphase amps I have heard but so what - other considerations like getting it serviced matter. Being able to resell it matters.

The Class A amps sound good and they are big names you can sell - AND they look terrific. Pretty tough to go wrong with them. Still, if you are amenable to the Class A 300B SET - the new Meishu Tonmeister is pretty special. And it's in the same price range I believe. But no remote and no DAC and requires lightbulb changes every so often.

I would make one suggestion if you do buy either Luxman, Accuphase (also applies to Marantz) the prices of these amps are considerably lower in Japan and in Hong Kong - if there is a way for you to buy them there and bring them home you might want to look into it - the US Importers jack these brands up a lot in the US. And by a lot, I mean double/triple the price.
