Tom Brennan's advice below is good. RGA's advice is good too.

I'd hold off on m.re expensive am.lification until I knew that m. speaker system was able to create wideband frequency response in m. room. And in order to achieve that goal I'd probably need to m.te those LaScalas with a pair of tapped horn subwoofers, first thing.

For m.vies, you sure do want that bass.
