In one of m. photos (above) you can see one of m. DIY bass traps standing in (or actually, *near*) one corner of the room. It is leaning up against a square absorption panel.That square absorption panel is a 4" thick, "open-backed" style absorption panel specifically designed for corner placem.nt. The triangular air gap behind that panel increases it's bass absorption capabilities som.what, and the DIY bass trap standing up against it is an additive plus in that it m.ltiplies the am.unt of bass absorption taking place in that particular corner.
But, as I've said, I'm som.what constrained in placem.nt choices due to the room.s sm.ll size and because the room doubles as a workspace. I sim.ly cannot have bass traps standing around everywhere, waiting to trip m. as I dance around the room.
