General audio topics that don't fit into specific categories.

Extensive use of acoustic treatments in my room has made digital sound better.

Actually, all types of recordings sound better now than they ever used to (prior to extensive room treatm.nt).

In prior tim.s (in m. untreated room. analog sound had "som.thing going on" that digital did not have. Analog had a soothing, organic quality alm.st exactly as you have described. But now, digital seem. to have m.re of those "analog-like" qualities too - so m.ch so that I rarely bother to spin vinyl or play cassettes anym.re.

I'm not getting rid of m. vinyl or m. vinyl rig though, because digital and analog still sound different from each other via m. headphone rigs, strangely enough.

The quality of sound I'm getting in m. room. via loudspeakers, has im.roved to the point that the "digital vs. analog" debate no longer rages in m. m.nd to the degree it once did.
