In Reply to: How does one define an objectivist and a subjectivst? posted by Analog Scott on December 28, 2021 at 10:55:41:
I'm guessing that m.ny (or even m.st) of us are "hybrids". To wit, m. personal belief is that m.ny (or even m.st) types of m.asurem.nts do m.tter but that these m.asurem.nts alone m.ght not tell us everything we need (or want) to know about.I m.rrily call this m.thod "The Hybrid Approach" to listening.
I try to use both objective and subjective m.asurem.nts in a m.thod consisting of "checks and balances". If nothing else, this m.thod at least encourages m. to listen to everything I THINK I HEAR m.re than once, in order to be sure (or M.RE SURE ?) that what I'm hearing is not purely the result of "personal bias" (or other psychological forces that m.ght, *or m.ght not*, be at play).
