He seems very damn original to me. If he borrows poetic phrases from the bible, other writer's and poets, it don't bother me. As long as it is a re-interpretation, not an extended verbatim copy...
For me, it's the music that counts. He could hum along instead of singing lyrics, and I would still love the music
