'once "electron flow" is established'
yes, thank you Tre` if that was overlooked, electron movement establishes conduction. I didn't have any questions ... I don't carry the math around with me like a pocket protector but I'm grounded in the principals
if you didn't follow the thread there was a physics question that Mr. Kait elected to only partially answer, then obfuscate & post a cutesy pop quiz ... I sought to answer the OP's query by providing straightforward info, despite the argumentative 'troll roll' ... it seemed like a 'teachable moment' so I played along
overall, not really a bad thing & no big deal ... anyway
this allowed my referencing a fascinating piece of history on the materials, engineering, electronics, and basic physics principals that were tested & derived or refined from the Transatlantic Cable projects that played a key role in advancing the current state of understanding and applied science involved
you're probably already familiar with this but what an awesome endeavor!
it helped to build the modern world, for better or worse, as we know it.
thanks for the reply and further contribution, you rock!
OT, you never mentioned that your old boss Dave Mason played with Fleetwood Mac ... and here I thought I knew 'all things F/Mac' !!
best regards,
