Thanks for your response.
One of the reasons that I asked is that I still own a pair of the original Time Windows, purchased in 1978 (although I haven't had them in any of my systems in a long time), and am considering the purchase of the Magnepan LRS.
Interesting that you commented that "the image from the MG is bigger, sometimes too big. That piano in some works appears to be 10 feet wide" in that I've read similar comments about the Time Windows, only that it sometimes appears that a guitar is 6 feet wide (LOL). Although I've noticed this only rarely, this effect may be due to loudspeaker setup issues. I found the TW's low bass to be somewhat wooly. I bet they would sound better using a high-pass filter to roll off the low bass.
I always considered the Time Windows (first powered by an Apt-Holman preamp and Audionics CC-2 amp before they were stolen, then an NAD 3020 used as a preamp feeding a Adcom GFA-555 amp) to be a musical, maybe even euphonic, sounding speaker. As I remember it, an easy-to-listen-to, you are there, loudspeaker. And yes, underappreciated.
