I get the point about this turntable being ridiculously expensive. I wondered if I were able to easily afford this whether I'd buy it or perhaps instead donate the money to something like cancer or Alzheimer's disease. I'd like to think I'd donate but that may well be delusion.
I don't take the existence of this thing as an affront. I think it's intended to represent what the designer sees as the best turntable they can make, cost aside. As part of a business model it's ridiculous. How many of these will they really sell? But viewed as an attempt to scale the Everest of vinyl playback it's interesting. Like some here, I don't particularly like the look but that's irrelevant.
