It all relates to the old mail server that died which then cascaded into DNS problems because that server was also the primary DNS server. Attempting to use the web server for a mail server broke it. I'd gotten it fixed temporarily when you got a batch of notifications several days ago. However, it wasn't handling the relays to our new primary mail server.
Somehow, I broke it again trying to resolve the relay issues and finally got it all fixed yesterday. Thankfully, mail that didn't get sent was queued up and was delivered once everything was running right.
