I've seen pictures of a Blue Note Session.
Separate Mics for everyone.
I've heard a number of Stereo mic Jazz Albums, they sound poor to me,
too much room sound and sometimes poor balance, even moving louder Inst back.
But that sounds weird to me.
I'm Talking Chesky here.
Haven't liked most things from them,
except The New York Chorinos,
and some Original Rags by David Chesky, quite a good pianist.
One particular Jazz Trio recording just sounds too weird, the Drums way in back, not much Bass.
And a Hollow Sound.
2 Phil Woods albums were disappointingly Minimalist.
Again, hollow, no Bass.
Minimalist or Studio, there's more to it than that.
