I used to feel funny about it until one day getting ready for the US OPEN
in Queens I was using a SHOP VAC with my earing protection on,
another tech walked in on me and stood there watching me.
The first thing he said to me after I turned off the vac and took off my
hearing protection was, 'I wish I was as smart as you'.
He said wearing hearing aids is no pleasure.
I'm 68 and can still hear the TV or stereo when it's playing below
50 dbs.
But not above 15,000 hz. :-(
