Appeal to Authority is generally disparaged when discussing/arguing matters
of opinion. When arguing matters of fact, Appeal to Authority should in
fact be encouraged. An EE will know more than I do about things electrical, as we are dealing with matters of fact. A theologian will not know more about some god than I do, as we are dealing with matters of opinion. Said theologian will certainly know more about theology than I,
but theology does not deal in fact.
