Does it do this while listening to music where it isn't some hyper bass super loud cut?
Otherwise, my 15+ year old True Sub periodically makes a little burp sound like it turned on now and then with no music as it's set to be on standby mode. I ignore it.
I've also have another pair of Velodyne subs in another room that have had issues over the years requiring recapping. My repair guy recommended some smart plugs to avoid having them on all the time. He uses them in standby mode, the plate amp gets hot and drys out the caps which aren't the best. I bought 4 for $25 and you can control them with your phone or just set a schedule. Mine is 6-12PM which is when we use the family room. It seems like a great idea and I use them for other stuff and bought more.
