I managed to build two amps from Nelson Pass - the Amp Camp Amp and after that, the First Watt M2X. These were my first and only attempts at DIY. I had to get some help but both got built, and both still work. The M2X is especially good. I'm no longer using them because I do prefer my current amp, a Cayin Audio A-55T Mark 3 but building those amps was fun. Most of the time.
