RE: Audio Show Music Question

We'll play just about anything at a show, and no, people haven't been knocking on the door demanding royalties for a single song at an audio show. If they had, I imagine we'd all be out there listing who decided to make life hard for everyone. The one exception is the Munich show, where there's a group from GEMA that goes around to the booths and then mails a demand for payment a few weeks after the show is over for playing the songs they overheard. Even though it's technically legitimate, the whole thing's just a big government-approved scam.

A lot of people have favorites that they like to stick with. In other cases, they spent the time putting together a library of songs and are too busy getting gear ready to spend the time revamping the library every year. Even for us, our drive sits in the demo closet and isn't touched until the next show is up. I don't have many favorite songs that I'm dying to listen to in a hotel room or a slapped-together booth, but I do try to keep a USB drive with me that I have a good selection of music that I'm listening to outside of shows at the time. We also like when people bring in their own music that they'd like to hear, since it breaks up the monotony of our lists.
