RE: Audio Show Music Question

I doubt very much there are fees for playing music at an audio show. If that were the case how is it that some exhibitors encourage visitors to their rooms to bring their own music?

I think it has more to do with using music they know will both sound good in their rooms and keep visitors coming. I know that some exhibitors prefer to control the music because they're concerned that a visitor will, for example, decide they want to hear their CD with the 15-minute drum solo. Not everyone has the patience (or desire) for that.

And not all exhibitors are reluctant to play less well-known music. Zu Audio is a good example. Robert Lee at Acoustic Zen is another.
