The fashion today won't be the fashion tomorrow. Check the resale value of anyone's modern "5 figure" loudspeakers. As an aside, this is a big benefit for those who are happy to buy 'slightly used' (one to a few years old) luxury loudspeakers.
It's certainly possible that speculators bought some (many?) of the 'special edition' Harbeths, too. How are the prices on the used market?All just speculation on my part, of course -- not utterly uninformed speculation, though. ;)
