Reinforcing the notion that audiophilia is just a dick-waving contest for the socially infirm.
Music. For most, this is about meaning, relations, story-telling, enjoyment. For card-carrying members of audiophile clubs, it's fodder for some obscure rituals that would seem to place practitioners fairly securely 'on the spectrum'.
