Typically electrostatics do not have the slam/dynamics of a closed box design. The Sanders 10e does use a woofer in a transmission line loaded design but still can not match a well designed sealed box. BUT still IMO it is more than adequate for 97% of music unless you are only into rock & roll or heavy metal.
