Chasing the audio dragon. What made you stop?

You get a new piece of gear.
You are enjoying the improvement for a while, then the sound becomes your new normal, and what you expect.

After a while you're off to the next fix.....

I've been into auto for 40 years and I've spent huge amounts of money on it.

Is there a type of system that satisfies the upgrade urge and keeps you from constantly wanting to see what else is out there, or is it just a personality type that just needs to keep discovering?
