For their selfless service, I tip my MALA (Make America Listen Again) hat to Cardas.
I bought a pair of their headphone plugs to build a new cable for my old Senn's. They sat in my parts box for a year, perhaps two, perhaps three. I'd come across them every so often while rummaging for something else and think, "Yeah, I'll build that new cable some day."
Some day was finally about a week ago. Got to the point of attaching the little buggers to the wires, and I find that one of the minuscule solder cups is filled with plastic. It must have gotten molded in there by mistake, and I try but cannot dislodge it.
The plugs cost only a few bucks, but I shouldn't have to buy another set to rectify their error, even after all this time. So, with only faint hope, I send a polite e-mail to Cardas. I receive their apology within a couple hours and a promise to send a replacement pair, no questions asked. A day later, the new set is on the way.
Good companies realize that customer service, even if it initially might cost a few dollars, will eventually pay rewards. I don't care much for their wires, but I'll consider Cardas more favorably when making another parts purchase.
Peace,
Tom E
