Comparing my Technics 1200G to my favorite source, reel to reel, finds it a closer match than a decent string drive TT with unipivot arm and 3K cartridge. Although maybe not as euphoric and big tone. The table gets your attention with layering and speed, it is used where another solid plinth table had excessive acoustic feedback. Like all good pieces is pulls off sonic tricks well in it's area of expertise.
