I'd imagine we've all said or done some dumbass thing(s) in our lives.
Really, it's part of life.
Honest reflection and repentance deserves some forgiveness and acceptance.
Unlike many in positions of power and influence, Clapton has shown and lived that.
Clapton isn't the most original player out there (nor one of my favorite ones)
but his influence and dedication to the blues is solid as granite and I think his
heart is (now) in the right place.
That's a sign of progress, wisdom, discipline and growth.
Those are all good things.
