I got a really cool looking THD plot from Dave O'Brien himself at a McIntosh clinic for my AR integrated amp back in '73. Data matched specs and looked great.
Sound quality, however, still sucked at low levels. That was an important lesson learned in my teens. A year later, I discovered Audio Research. :)
