because it doesn't work.
How the heck are you going to translate waveform differentials to usable models of spatial reproduction, tonal accuracy, harmonic integrity, etc.? You get information but not knowledge.
If doing such were truly valuable, I think any number of very bright audio designers would have beat you to the punch decades ago. :)
