Switching on: power amps last

Switching off: power amps first

Doing it this way you prevent any pops or thumps caused by any gear from being amplified and going to your speakers. If your power amps are tubed, you probably have to wait a couple minutes after switching them off, to prevent pops from coming through. That's a nuisance, and if you don't have any turn-off pops or thumps (most people don't) then don't worry about it. Actually, if you *do* have any switch-off noises, it's probably worth sussing it out, as it generally means something isn't working the way it should.
