So....:
1. there was no hum with your prior amp in the EXACT same set up?
2. have you tried (if possible) using a different int amp to test?
3. have you used an ungrounded ac cord (2 prong)?
Only think I can come up with, as i have dealt with this before, is that you have a grounding issue at the wall socket. a qualified electrician can install a ground but you need to explain in detail to him as he may not understand.
Aftre all that, then look at the amp itself. Did you buy from dealer?
