Saw her live in Chicago a year ago. Very high powered performer. Agree to an extent that her Mayhem album is overly compressed. Disagree on Love Tatoo, which is an earlier attempt to find her niche as it contains a mix of Jazzy songs an audiophile could love as well as some uptempo numbers. There is some dynamic range to Love Tatoo. Best way to appreciate Imelda, imho, is to pick up Jeff Beck's Rock & Roll party Blu Ray and see her put a lot of sizzle into some old R&R standards from the 50'/60s. Walkin in the Sand is killer!
