how about some ideas for REacting PROactively?

I don't especially care for Mr. Schuman's tone, but I too would like to see a more constructive response to the AgoN mess:

a.) I think we should keep talking about it but,
b.) I'm not interested in chewing over the many things 'wrong' with the new site, from greed to graphics,
c.) Nor am I interested in helping them fix it, because the people that own AudiogoN are not nice people (how much further detail do we really need on that issue?)
d.) Declare that they don't deserve loyal intelligent customers, who they think they can continue sweet-talking into forgiveness because they're still "the only game in town" (they are, but only because WE allowed it!) The consumer giveth, the consumer can taketh away . . .

What I want to see/hear are some creative ideas for making a significant transition AWAY from AudiogoN altogether (rather than a 'transition' from the 'old' AudiogoN to the 'new' AudiogoN!) And 'significant' in terms of:
1. Large numbers of people (leaving in 'droves').
2. International in scope (not just us AA members)
3. We customers be willing to provide healthy revenues for an operator(s) who will use much of it to improve their site(s), and hire real IT professionals to run and maintain them.

I think the MAIN issue that needs to be addressed is: 'How to find and reach 90% of AgoN users without AgoN's cooperation in order to advise them of one or two (or three!) other sites that want their business, respect their wishes, and give them value for their money. Right now, most Gonners are intensely frustrated because they just don't know where to turn for their advertising and we need to assist them so the AgoN operators don't gain a new foothold in the market.

Here's one idea that I had for spreading the word while staying under the radar: I plan to include (insert) a one-sentance message in the text of my AgoN ads regarding alternate sites (where I have a more "extensive list of items" for sale.) The folks at AgoN are so preoccupied right now, that they'll scarcely notice it. Now. How about the rest of you putting some of this "BITCH-ENERGY" into similarly brilliant strategies? ;~) Thanks. Really.

AudiogoN had a nice run. So did Eastman Kodak (who filed for Chapter 11 protection today.) Now it's time for them both to go. But their customers need our help. So let's have more ideas how we can do that, OK? Yes, enough complaining!
