Andre, here's part of an email response I recently received from Chris Martens (who you might know):
"To clarify, TAS does not own the Soundoffers site. Rather, TAS, AVguide,
Playback, The Perfect Vision, and Hi-Fi+ are all owned by the same parent
organization that owns Soundoffers. Thus, those of us involved in the
production of our consumer electronics publications (both print and
digital) have no direct role in the day-to-day operations of Soundoffers.
At the same time, there is a cordial relationship between our publications
and the team responsible for Soundoffers, so that you may indeed find that
Soundoffers ads will appear in at least some of our publications as we
move forward.
I'm glad to hear that you had favorable first impressions of Soundoffers
and will pass your suggestions along to the Soundoffers team.

That said, they probably have a grand total of 100 items on the whole site at the moment (if that!) But they obviously aren't going anywhere, and with all those other income streams, don't need to be greedy ;--) It's also a nice looking site and easy to navigate (meaning they already have expert IT people to protect them from disaster ;--) I posted a couple of ads and made a few suggestions. I'm sure they will use their sister publications to make their presence known (especially now!) and should do quite well.
Another really nice looking, easy to use, but for some reason little known site, is AudioXchange http://www.theaudioxchange.com And though neither of these sites have forums, they could easily replace AudiogoN for classified advertising.
I typically place ads here, AgoN, and AudioXchange (and now Soundoffers) just to cover all bases; because you never know where the next buyer will see your item -- especially if they search Google for it -- then all the sites where you have it listed will get returned by Google (and quicker than you think!~)
