I was there when he thought of it and when he planned to talk to HP about it.
But regardless of who invented it, it worked pretty darn well.
Also agree on the first time experience with the HQD as one of those "I'll never forget" events.
I ended up voicing that particular pair, which was almost sacrilegious when I think how good they sounded when I first heard them.
They were so great that I never heard anyone complain about the"head-in-a-vise" effect the 57s had.
