RE: Anyone here listen to mainly experimental electronic music?

Yes, I listen to a lot of electronic music...The Orb, Orbital, Future Sound of London, Leftfield, Aphex Twin, Autechre, Chemical Brothers, Utah Saints, KLF, etc.

What you want to do is get yourself a pair of Hales Revelation 3 speakers (or Hales Transcendence 5 or 8s) and a Bag End Infrasub 18 subwoofer. Match these with a quality preamp/amp (I currently use a B&K AVR505 receiver, which still delivers clean sound with a slight tube quality. Throw in a quality cd player (Audio Research CD7 or CD8, I currently use an Integra DPS-10.5 Universal player connected to an Audio Research Dac7). Throw in some quality speaker cables, interconnects, powercords, power conditioner, quality outlet and you will never want to leave your house again. :)

The Bag end matches very well with Hales speakers and the combination will shake the foundation of your house (in a good way) :). My system does incredibly well with Electronic music and Progressive Rock music, which are the genres that I listen most to. I have owned the Hales Revelation 3 speakers for 10 years now and still have no desire to upgrade, except for a pair of Hales Transcendence 8 speakers.

Hope this info was helpful...
