So, imagine how things usually progress. Compare early digital playback to now. D to A converters have made some REAL progress. Well, that is history.
Audiophiles may use thousands of DAC chipsets, but Little Johnny's gang buys in the millions. We simply can not compete.
So no further progress to make digital more "real". No progress, except for power saving chipsets, with ZERO concern for audio quality.
