Greetings- Thanks for the recommendation, I wasn't even aware of the C. Crane radio, never even heard of it. I really like the option of being able to use AA or D batteries and that they can be recharged in the radio. Had to Google to find out what a PAL connector was. I've advised my friend that for the best reception at a moderate cost, he would be better off instaling a modest YAGI antennae on the roof. I'm assuming that an adaptor to convert from PAL to 75ohm coax is avaibable ? Thanks again, regards, Paul
