RE: Home wireless connection bad for sound?

Hi,

I have a wireless router on the same floor but different room as my audio system. I specifically put an alternative firmware on the router so that I could turn off the wireless broadcast at the touch of a front button panel yet keep the device working as a router. This was mainly done for the benefit of my audio system, as I live in a rural area and there are no other wireless networks around.

The basic result is, that while I can hear lots off difference in my system from many things, I can't hear any difference between the wireless being turned on or off. Maybe my equipment has higher than average filtering against this type of thing, but you should just try it by plugging / unplugging the router.

Alan
