Almost certainly

The primary culprit is almost certainly NOT the product, assuming any competence in the brand whatsoever. In fact, ANY decent brand would have these problems if the situation is as it appears to be.

At the low level of performance that you describe, it's nearly always the room and the set-up in that room.

FWIW - Burn-in would never be able to solve issues of that magnitude.

Did his dealer have any suggestions?

Did the dealer provide any basic installation/set up of the system?
