Are your '63s recently fully restored? If not, that may be why they're coming up short along side your '57s.
Your '57s are in relatively good condition as they are as nice sounding as any I've heard (going by memory here), for what it's worth. I've always enjoyed them with the 303, but that is one of my all-time favourite amps. Probably better out there now, but where do you start?
Having any success in getting a second pair of '57s for a full restoration?
