"Bass is supposed to sound big" What does this mean? I believe bass should be well defined and extended; warm but not wooly, tight yet remain musical.
"6.5 " is not a woofer size" I beg to disagree. Any driver designed to reproduce low frequencies is by definition a woofer and while one 6.5" woofer may be hard pressed to get the job done; several do the job quite nicely with great speed and finesse, never being wooly or baggy and never producing the one note bass so prevalent with large cone woofers.
One should always be careful when pontificating absolutes.
