For me, in the early 1970s, as an original subscriber, to be able to call him at his home in PA. He was always accessible. Probably too accessible, because that accessibility to all of us made the (always late) issues even later, but it was a classy thing to do, IMO.
The beginning of the Golden Age in high-end audio (again, IMO). And he was right in the middle of the creation of it.
