I believe blind people have become better listeners out of necessity. I don't believe they have any distinct advantage over the sighted as far as musicianship or hearing acuity although there is some evidence that persons born blind have trained there brain to process sounds more efficiently
than sighted persons. The brain is just another muscle and if you use a certain portion more than others it will become stronger I suppose.
Just an opinion based on little more than common sense.
