red brick,

When I needed speaker stands, red brick served me well. Easy to set up, you can even build in a little tilt if you want, to aim the things so you won't have to go as tall as you thought.

If I remember those speakers correctly, they are not too big but big enough that they might look strange and top heavy plopped on high supports. Bricks become a good mass loaded support once it is put together. For something so heavy, it is user friendly because the stack breaks down if you want to change something.

Red brick works with most decorating , if you are a guy with limited design aspirations. My old stands got my speakers off the floor, about four or five bricks high, then I built the stack to aim the speakers at my usual location. Solid is better than tippy, no matter the sonic results. You don't want something that looks like it will fall over, you want a comfortable environment. A point worth considering, since it will not be attached to the floor.

I now have floor standing tower speakers, and the old red bricks reside as a pathway to a shed in the back yard. I could point to them and talk about the old apt and the good times, or rip them up and build another stand if needed.

Cheap and no waste. The flexibility is a nice green feature, as someone can always use the material if you no longer need it. No trash at the end of the line when you change speakers is a strong feature.
